20 Things About Me

I’m trying to be more active on this blog and keep it alive so I wanted to reintroduce myself by sharing some things that social media might not reveal about me. Enjoy and leave a fun fact about yourself for me in the comments! 20 things-2

  1. I normally don’t laugh out loud at TV shows or movies. I do however write “lol” an obscene amount of times during text conversations.
  2. I have an obsession with serial killers and their minds. I have watched more documentaries on serial killers than I care to mention.
  3. I am terrified of public speaking and aliens (the teardrop head ones with large black eyes), and bugs in no particular order.
  4. I am the most unorganized organized person you would ever meet. I love to keep things tidy but I get things done in my own messy way. I don’t always follow the most logical way to success.
  5. I stand at a whopping 5‘ tall; But you still can’t tell me anything.
  6. I more recently learned the term empath; it refers to a person who physically and/or energetically experiences other people’s emotions. To me this was an explanation of something I so very frequently experienced in life. I believe my oldest daughter has this gift as well.
  7. When I was a little girl I was obsessed with Edward Scissor Hands. I would watch the movie through cry at the end and beg my mother to put it back on again.
  8. I like to drink in the shower. ice cold water, wine, juice – doesn’t matter.
  9. My hair has been natural (without chemical processing) for 4 years but I’m still wondering why my hair isn’t down my back?!
  10. During my last pregnancy I loved the smell of laundry detergent and even wanted to eat it. I never did.
  11. I’ve never sprained or broken a bone.
  12. I believe in animal symbology in dreams. That our dreams are an expression of what our conscious mind is unable to deal with or understand. Animals symbolize our own primordial soul, a part of our own nature that is older, close to and more embedded in the life of the natural world.
  13. A day cannot pass without me listening to music for an hour or two. I will put on music before I put on the television.
  14. I have always been a night owl. I am more productive and active in the evening but these days sleep take prescidence over everything.
  15. When I was younger I wanted to be a meteorologist as well as an Egyptologist. I don’t have much interest in either of those subjects today.
  16. I am a terrible procrastinator, but I acknowledge that and I am working on it.
  17. My husband is my college sweetheart. I met him my first year on campus and it’s been happily ever after ever-since.
  18. I am an animal lover. In my lifetime I have had 2 cats, 2 dogs, a ferret, a turtle and a snake. In addition I’ve begged for a teacup piglet, a sugar glider and chickens.
  19. My hubby jokes that I have vampire blood in my veins because I have great grandparents on both my mother and father’s side who lived to be 104 and 103.
  20. I live to eat. There is seriously nothing better to me than a good plate of noms!
  21. My name is spelled Candise and no one pronounces it correctly. While the majority of people pronounce it “Can•Dase” it’s actually pronounced “Can•dis.” Get it?

That was actually much more difficult than I thought. Again, leave some fun facts about yourself for me in the comments!
